Emily Sanchez, LMSW
Education and Experience
Emily graduated from Western New Mexico University Summa Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She worked alongside esteemed psychiatrist Dr. Richard Burton for one year at Redemption Psychiatry in Gilbert, AZ counseling individuals. She also completed another year-long internship in the Gilbert Public School system at Boulder Creek Elementary as a school social work intern. There, she counseled elementary school aged children one on one and led a grief group and a school anxiety group. Prior to this, she operated her own business for 8 years as a Life and Divorce Coach. She has helped countless individuals overcome divorce and build new identities and family systems post divorce. She also created an online course entitled Overcoming Divorce: A Path to Healing and Growth. She also has extensive training in Relational Life Therapy, a skills and trauma-based approach to couple's therapy. She gets to practice her skills in her own 17 year marriage every single day.
Personal Life
Emily has a supportive and devoted husband named Yasser Sanchez. Together, with their five children, they reside in Gilbert, AZ. Emily enjoys hiking, playing the piano, watching her kids perform, learning, working out, and pushing herself through new challenges physically and in her career. What makes her job fulfilling is being part of helping someone discover the necessary changes within themselves for growth, healing, and self-improvement. The biggest honor of her life is bearing witness to her clients' stories and seeing first hand the courage exhibited in them making honest change.

Whether you feel on the brink of divorce or you are just getting started, reach out and Emily can help guide you in discerning what will be best for you. Emily is one of the few RLT trained therapists in Arizona and is here to help give you practical skills to make things a whole lot better.

She offers counseling services to help individuals and families navigate the difficult process of divorce & separation. She provides support, guidance, and tools to help families move forward through marriage and family counseling online or in person at her office in Gilbert.
Individual Counseling
No matter what the issue may be, Emily is honored to support you through your healing journey. Whether that means you'd like to heal from trauma, or level-up on parenting, or work on anxiety or depression, Emily offers a nonjudgmental space where you can process and grow at your pace. She has special training in relational therapy, CBT, DBT, and existential psychotherapy. If you are experience a life transition such as divorce or faith transition, she is specially trained to walk with you through those issues.
