A man or woman walking a new path after a divorce and seeking divorce counseling or divorce coaching.

Are you struggling after divorce? Divorce counseling could be the answer.

No one is ever truly prepared for the trauma of divorce. It feels like you’ve been hit by a semi-truck. Not to mention, now you may be a single parent. Your worries may be heightened so much about how the divorce will affect your kids that you can hardly see straight.

A counselor, trained in divorce counseling, plays a vital role in providing support and guidance to anyone navigating the emotional challenges of divorce while prioritizing their mental health. During this difficult time, I act as a compassionate and understanding ally, helping my clients cope with the overwhelming emotions and uncertainties that often arise during the process. Through personal divorce experience, active listening, and empathy, I will help you gain clarity and perspective, fostering emotional resilience and empowering you to make informed decisions. I will teach you coping strategies, stress-reduction techniques, and self-care practices to promote mental well-being. By tailoring my approach, I will aid you to embrace new beginnings.

Divorce therapy is different than other types of therapy in that it is a different adjustment period than any other life transition. There may be anxiety and depression associated, but it is not the underlying issue...the divorce and subsequent changes are. Understanding that symptoms of anxiety and depression during a divorce period is normal and can significantly decrease with the right type of therapy is crucial.

I also have experience with creating a new family system within the new structure that includes your values, rules, and dreams. The term "broken family" and the narrative that goes with it will dissolve when one has the resources of building a culture within themselves.

Although my office for in person is in Gilbert, I offer telehealth services for anyone in Arizona.

This is a supervised private practice. It is owned and/or managed by a master’s level, non-independent licensee under Board-approved clinical supervision pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211. The Board-approved clinical supervisor of this practice is:
