No one is ever truly prepared for the trauma of divorce. It feels like you’ve been hit by a semi-truck. Not to mention, now you are a single parent. Your worries may be heightened so much so about how the divorce will affect your kids that you can hardly see straight.
A counselor, trained in divorce coaching, plays a vital role in providing support and guidance to anyone navigating the emotional challenges of divorce while prioritizing their mental health. During this difficult time, I act as a compassionate and understanding ally, helping my clients cope with the overwhelming emotions and uncertainties that often arise during the process. Through personal divorce experience, active listening, and empathy, I will help you gain clarity and perspective, fostering emotional resilience and empowering you to make informed decisions. I will teach you coping strategies, stress-reduction techniques, and self-care practices to promote mental well-being. By tailoring my approach, I will aid you to embrace new beginnings.
I also have experience with creating a new family system within the new structure that includes your values, rules, and dreams. The term "broken family" is ridiculous when one has the resources of building a culture within themselves.
